Gray Panthers NYC Welcomes Dr. Jane Barratt as Regular Guest Blogger on Gray Matters
Gray Panthers NYC is pleased to announce that Dr. Jane Barratt, an internationally recognized advisor and non-executive leader in global ageing, health, and social policy, will join the Gray Matters blog as a regular guest blogger.
Dr. Barratt brings more than three decades of experience to the role. She has worked with the World Health Organization, the United Nations, governments, academic institutions, industry, and civil-society partners to strengthen health systems and advance the rights and well-being of older people worldwide. Her leadership has helped shape public-health agendas and place dignity and equity at the center of ageing policy and practice.
Her writing draws on years spent in the rooms where decisions are made and change is resisted. She explores what it takes to lead with courage in complex systems, connecting evidence with humanity and strategy with purpose, and bridging the gap between policy and practice.
Dr. Barratt’s work reminds us that ageing is not a crisis to manage but a lens through which we see who we are.
“Dr. Barratt has spent her career making sure older people are seen, heard, and counted in the places where policy is made. That is exactly the spirit Maggie Kuhn built this organization on, and we're honored to have her writing for Gray Matters,” said Michelle Arnot, President of Gray Panthers NYC.
