Attention Scouts: Bring “Age & Youth in Action” to Your Troop

The Age & Youth in Action patch—created through a partnership between Gray Panthers NYC and the Girl Scouts of Greater New York—celebrates intergenerational connection, empathy, and advocacy. Scouts who earn the patch learn firsthand how older and younger generations can work together to make their communities stronger, kinder, and more just.

Now, we’re on a mission to take this movement nationwide.

We want Scouts in every state to have the chance to earn the Age & Youth in Action patch!

Whether your troop visits a senior center, interviews an elder in your community, or leads a project that bridges generations, we’ll help you get started and share best practices from other successful troops.
